PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), the Indonesian subsidiary of Honda, launched Brio facelift at Indonesia International Motor Show April 7. Apart from the regular Brio, Honda also unveiled the sporty RS version that features sporty body kit and runs on 15-inch wheels.

The front facia of Honda's entry-level hatchback now features a redesigned bumper that is more aggressive. The new grille has been draped in black in line with overall sporty touches. The side profile and the rear remain largely unchanged, except a thick chrome bar between tail lamps. The 14-inch alloy wheels in new design are also part of the new Brio.

On the interior, age-old dashboard made way for a more contemporary unit inspired from the BR-V SUV. Additional features in the new Brio are new audio system, steering-mounted audio button, side under spoiler, LED high mount stop lamp, projector headlamp and ABS for RS version. The RS variant also gets a 6.2-inch touchscreen unit.

All variants of Honda Brio is powered by i-VTEC 1.2-litre engine, which produces maximum power of 89bhp at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 110Nm at 4,800rpm. The Brio is available with either five-speed manual or CVT. New Honda Brio RS and Brio is available in six color options, including Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Taffeta White, Passion Red Pearl (for Brio RS) and Rallye Red (for regular Brio).
