"Attarintiki Daredi" (AD) is completing 50 days at the box office today (15 November).

The Pawan Kalyan starrer that released on 27 September continues to perform well despite new releases. The entire "AD" team is overwhelmed by the response received from audience, despite facing piracy issues.

A 90-minute video footage of "AD" was illegally leaked online, before the film released. Despite the leaked video, fans flocked to theatres to watch their favourite star on screen. Armed with positive feedback from critics and audience alike, "AD" fared well in Indian and overseas markets. The film has earned over ₹73 crore in worldwide share and has turned out to be one of the biggest hits of Telugu cinema.

The family entertainer had a successful run for several weeks as no other new releases could give strong competition to the Pawan Kalyan starrer. Although the film's collections have dropped in the last few weeks, it is still continuing its successful run in several theatres. In a bid to thank audience support, "AD" makers added six more minutes of footage to the film as a special Diwali treat for fans.

The Trivikram directorial is completing 50 days today (15 November) in around 170 theatres. Fans have begun their celebrations as the film has reached a half-century mark.

The family entertainer has Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha Subash as the female leads. The other cast members include Nadiya, Rao Ramesh, Bomani Irani and MS Narayana.

The film has smashed several records created by other hit Telugu films. "AD" is Pawan Kalyan's second blockbuster in two consecutive years. His action-comedy entertainer "Gabbar Singh" was the biggest hit of 2012. Now, "AD" has become the biggest grosser of 2013 (so far). Although, several biggies released after "AD", they have not been able to surpass the film's collections. Venkatesh-Ram's "Masala", which released on 14 November, is also unlikely to cross "AD" collections as the film has been receiving mixed reviews from critics.

There are no other big Telugu releases this year, except for Ram Charan's "Yevadu", which is expected to release on 19 December. It remains to be seen if "Yevadu" will surpass "AD" collections.
