Year end is just around the corner and auto majors are luring customers with offers and discounts to shore up December sales. After Ford India and Hyundai, it's now Maruti Suzuki.

The country's largest car maker has announced discounts up to ₹55,000 on purchase of its entry level vehicles like Alto K10 and Wagon R, reports Business Standard. The company's new entrant Alto K10 facelift comes with benefits of upto ₹35,000. So far, Maruti seems to have offers only for its small car line-up, discounts and freebies of big cars are yet to come.

In November, Maruti Suzuki reported 19.5% increase in the total sales, led by sale of compact car segments and Dzie Tour. However, sales of Maruti's mini-passenger segment, which includes vehicles like M800, Alto, A-Star and Wagon R declined 0.8% last month at 37,746 units compared to 38,040 in the same month last year.

Auto major General Motors India is also offering exciting discounts and benefits on the purchase of the models like Beat and Sails. Dubbed 'Chevrolet Blockbuster," the limited period offer includes cash discount, loyalty bonus, exchange bonus and corporate discounts which add up to the range of ₹ 55,000 to ₹ 85,500.
