Japanese Sports bike-maker Yamaha has begun exporting Indonesia-made R25 bikes to Vietnam, says report.

R25, a stunning offering from Yamaha is probably a much-awaited and desired bike in the 250cc segment.

The bike had a grand debut on 20 May in Indonesia, with a price tag of 53 million Rupiah (roughly ₹2.70 lakh). It is now reportedly set to enter Vietnam market, which is one among the 14 countries in export list of Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM).

Yamaha has started exporting R25 to Vietnam for showcasing, says a Rushlane report (via vnexpress.net ). As of now, there is no information on the bookings for this bike in Vietnam, but considering the latest move of Yamaha, we expect it to start accepting the bookings soon.

Yamaha is also expected to export R25 to India. Though there are no words on the availability of the bike in India, emerging reports indicate that the bike will reach Indian stores in 2015.

If reports are to be believed, in India, R25 will come with single cylinder 250cc motor, which would make the bike affordable for the two-wheeler aficionados. When launched, the main rivals of R25 in India will be Hyosung GT250R, Kawasaki Ninja 250 Mono and Honda CBR250R.

Now this bit is for those who are forgetting Yamaha YZF-R25, a 250 cc motorbike, is powered by a 250 cc liquid-cooled, in-line, four-stroke, two-cylinder engine, and can churn out a power of 36 bhp, 12,000 rpm and a peak torque of 22.1 Nm at 10,000 rpm. R25 weighs 166 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 14.3 litres.

In terms of measurement, it measures 2,090 mm in length, 720 mm in width and 1,135 mm in height with a a seat height of 780 mm. It comes with features including fuel-consumption indicator, oil-change indicator, trip and odo-meter and engine-temperature warning. It will be available in three colours - Racing Blue, Diablo Red and Predator Black.
