Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4A now available for preorders at Rs. 9,999 and Rs. 5,999

Xiaomi is all set to kick off the preorders for Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4A via Mi.com starting at 12pm IST on June 2. The Chinese smartphone maker plans to capitalise on the rising demand for Xiaomi handsets in India with a five-day shipping guarantee on these handsets at attractive prices.

The preorder service does not offer cash on delivery option and hence it is imperative to make the full payment while placing your pre-orders. One may opt to cancel the preorder any time before the order is shipped. Only one unit will be available for preorder per person and it is necessary to place your orders quickly to capitalise on Xiaomi's limited stocks available for online sale.

Redmi Note 4

Redmi Note 4 will be up for sale on Flipkart shortly with the base model selling at Rs. 9,999. In addition to the regular gold and black variants, the Note 4 will also be available in dark grey option via Flipkart with EMI options starting at Rs. 631 per month. Axis Bank Buzz Credit card holders will be eligible for an additional 5 percent discount on the e-commerce portal.

Redmi Note 4 can be bought via the company's official website, Mi.com, at a starting price of Rs. 9,999 on pre-orders. The handset will be available for pre-orders in any of the following colour variants: Gold, Grey, Matte Black, and Silver.

Prospective buyers of Redmi Note 4 can choose among various storage options as listed below:

• Redmi Note 4 with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage at Rs. 9,999
• Redmi Note 4 with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage at Rs. 10,999
• Redmi Note 4 with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage at Rs. 12,999

Coming to the key specifications, the Redmi Note 4 flaunts a metal unibody design with 5.5in full HD (1080x1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass IPS display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor system-on-chip (SoC) and 4,100mAh battery.

Although the handset runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out-of-the-box, it is upgradeable to Android Nougat. On the connectivity front, it comes equipped with 4G VOLTE support, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and dual SIM support.

In addition to the available storage configurations, the handset features support for microSD expansion up to 128GB. On the camera front, the Redmi Note 4 sports a 13MP CMOS rear camera and a 5MP front-facing selfie camera.

Redmi 4A

Redmi 4A will be up for preorders on the Mi.com starting 12pm on June 2 at Rs. 5,999. Coming to the specifications, the 4A sports a 5in HD display and runs MIUI 8 based Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

The handset will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 chip and paired with 2GB RAM. It ships in a single 16GB storage variant and equip the same camera specs as Redmi Note 4. It draws power from a decent 3120mAh battery.
