Xiaomi Mi MIX concept smartphone did not seize to impress the global audience, but its China-only availability has disappointed many. Xiaomi's VP Hugo Barra confirmed to us that the Mi MIX smartphone isn't coming to India, and this came as a shock to several fans who have helped the company scale up to be one of the largest smartphone brands in the country.

What if there is a way to get the Mi MIX smartphone shipped to India without its official availability. Sounds exciting right? Well, those who are willing to spend that extra buck can certainly be an owner of the bezel-less Mi MIX smartphone.

The China-based international reseller GearBest has an immediate solution to get the Mi MIX global variant outside China. Both 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 256GB ROM models are listed on GearBest and can be ordered from anywhere in the world.

As for the price, the entry-level model costs $658.99 and the high-end variant is listed for $748.99. If we compare these prices with the official pricing, buyers will certainly be spending a lot extra. Xiaomi launched the Mi MIX starting at ¥3499 (around $517), which roughly translates to Rs. 34,500 and ¥3999 (approx. $590), which is around Rs. 39,500 for the "Pro" model with 18K gold rim.

Ordering the Mi MIX on GearBest means buyers pay up to Rs. 10,000 extra. But it is also worth noting that the China pricing of the Mi MIX doesn't always match up to the Indian pricing. So if the buyers are paying extra, it is for the convenience of getting the Mi MIX delivered to India despite the slim chances of the handset ever making its debut here.

Mi MIX is currently under pre-sale on GearBest, which ends on December 15, and shipping begins after the pre-sale has ended. The payment options available are PayPal, wire transfer or Western Union. Once the product has been vetted for quality, it takes anywhere between 15-30 business days for shipping. Expedited shipping, which takes up to 7 business days, costs $11.88.

Xiaomi Mi MIX's design is the most standout feature of the phone. It has a ceramic body designed by Phillppe Starck and bezel-less display. The 6.4-inch display has a large 16:9 viewing area and uses black screen technology. It is powered by a 14nm-based 2.35GHz Snapdragon quad-core chipset, a 4,400mAh Quick Charge 3.0 battery and Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8. Finally, the handset sports a 16MP primary camera with PDAF and LED flash and a 5MP wide-angle lens forselfies.
