What we know so far on the Xiaomi Mi 5c?

From what we have gathered so far, Mi 5c, which is internally codenamed Meri, is a budget version of the original flagship smartphone.

The key aspect of Mi 5c is that it will be the company's first ever smartphone to come with Xiaomi's proprietary SoC (System-on-Chip) codenamed Pinecone having eight ARM-based Cortex-A53 cores, which can clock a maximum speed of up to 2.2GHz.

Xiaomi Mi 5c is said to sport 5.5-inch full HD display having 2.5D glass shield and fingerprint sensor ingrained into the home button, similar to the original Mi 5's design language.

Other expected features include MIUI 8.0 (Android v6.0 Marshmallow), 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 12MP primary camera on the back and 8MP snapper on the front.

Word on the street is that Xiaomi Mi 5c would cost ¥999 (approx. $144/€137/Rs 9,892).
