"The X Factor" UK 2015 has entered an interesting phase of the competition with the remaining contestants set to perform live for the first time since the show went on air.

The remaining top 12 finalists will take the stage this weekend with the hope of progressing to the next round. Unlike pre-recorded episodes in the past weeks, the contestants have to be extra careful as their performances will be aired live in the Live Shows.

It is also reported that Live Shows will run only for seven weeks this season instead of the usual 10. Contestants will perform on Saturdays and the results will be announced the following day.

Mentors Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw have three contestants each to compete for the remaining episodes of the show.

It may be recalled that "The X Factor" UK was hit by a controversy with people alleging that the show was fixed after finalist Louisa Johnson was spotted wearing two different types of shoes during last week's performances -- for judge Rita Ora and guest judge Meghan Trainor.

However, X Factor U.K rubbished the allegation in a statement, saying that all contestants filmed two songs each and Louisa was clearly seen wearing the same pair of shoes as in her performance of "Respect".
