"Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi" actress Radhika Madan aka Ishani is all set to put her dancing skills to test on "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8", but will this make her sideline hit the TV show?
"Whatever I am today is because of Meri Aashiqui... So I cannot ignore that show. On the other hand my choreographer is working so hard on Jhalak, I can't let him down either. We rehearse for two hours daily after my shoot," The Asian Age quoted her as saying.
Madan has been a dancer in her college days and was set to jet off abroad to pursue dance when the daily soap happened, and thus "JDJ8" came into her life as an opportunity to fulfil dreams.
"Jhalak is a dream come true. I was to leave for the US to pursue dance when Meri Aashiqui... happened. So this is my chance to fulfill my dream of dancing. I love hip-hop because I'm tomboyish in real life," she elaborated.
Talking about the daily soap, Madan said her family was very passionate about her onscreen character Ishani and often comments on the channel's official page. She further explained how her mother and grandmother wish Ishani and Ranveer reunite soon.
Also, explaining on how different she is from the role she plays on TV, Madan said there was only one scene she could relate to.
"In my wardrobe, there are no saris or salwars. We had a scene on the show where I don't know how to wear a sari. That was just lifted from my real life. Also, I don't cry at all in real life but on the show they make me shed a lot of tears."
In other news, the leading lady has been rehearsing hard for her stint on the show and is decidedly thrilled about it.
