More good news from the domestic smartphone makers' front. According to reports, native handset maker Wickedleak launched a new octa-core smartphone dubbed Wammy Titan 4 in India at ₹14,990 on Thursday.

The forte of the smartphone, however, lies in its massive 5,330mAh battery offering. The company claims that the smartphone has the "world's biggest battery" and is rated to deliver up to 43 days of standby time, apart from 28 hours (3G) and 31 hours (2G) of talktime.

Apart from that, the new Wickedleak Wammy Titan 4 smartphone also features an 'Advanced Fingerprint ID' sensor located on home button below the display. In a nutshell, the smartphone not only astounds with its ultra powerful battery, but also offers a lot of other advanced specs that don't really match up to its reticent price tag.

The Wammy Titan 4 is basically a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone, which runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box, but will be upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. It comes with a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) OGS display with 441ppi pixel density.

The smartphone is further powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with Mali-450 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Wammy Titan 4 sports an impressive 16mp auto-focus rear camera (Sony Exmor RS sensor) with LED flash and a secondary 5mp front-facing camera.

There's 16GB of internal storage on the Wickedleak Wammy Titan 4, and it can be further expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options on the Wammy Titan 4 include 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0. The handset measures 146x73.6x9.3mm.

The Wickedleak Wammy Titan 4 is now available to pre-order from the company's website and will be delivered to buyers starting 1 March. Note that the smartphone also comes with optional AquaProtect water-resistant technology, which brings the price of the handset up to ₹16,490.
