Deepika Padukone has a solo dance number in her upcoming movie "Bajirao Mastani" and the actress was asked by her trainer to think about her rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh to get her steps right.

Deepika was being trained by renowned choreographer Birju Maharaj for the solo dance number 'Mohe rang do lal' in "Bajirao Mastani", during which the choreographer advised her to think about her on-screen lover.

"I told Deepika to think of Ranveer, who is her on screen lover, as her Kishore and like Madhubala had danced to his tunes in 'Jhumroo', she should dance the same way for her Bajirao," Mumbai Mirror quoted Maharaj as saying.

Although shooting for the dance sequence took 10 days to complete, the choreographer was apparently very impressed by Deepika's performance in the end.

"Deepika aced it. The song looks like a Raja Ravi Varma painting brought to life. She is tall and beautiful. I will choreograph her in any song if she wants me to. She takes my scolding in the right spirit," added Maharaj.

Deepika and Ranveer's chemistry was highly appreciated in "Ram Leela" and the two are ready to share screen space together again in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani".

While Ranveer will be seen as Bajirao and Deepika will portray Bajirao's second wife Mastani, Priyanka Chopra will play the character of Bajirao's first wife Kashibai. The film is slated to be released on 18 December.
