If you want to know the story of "Fifty Shades of Grey" from Christian Grey's perspective, here is EL James' new book "Grey", which has sold over one million copies in the US in the last four days. The book was released on Christian's birthday, on 18 June.

"This is an astonishing number of books to sell over a weekend and speaks to the engagement and passion readers have for the Fifty Shades books," publisher Anne Messitte of Vintage & Anchor said in a statement.

Despite mixed reviews, the fourth installment of the sadomasochistic saga has become an instant hit among readers and fans of BDSM-obsessed Christian.

"Grey", which has become a best-seller, deals with the love story of Christian and Anastasia Steele.

Many critics say that the  erotic novel is meant "just for fans" and is not so good, especially for women. Still, the book has become an instant hit worldwide despite the negative reviews, which refer to many ridiculous lines in the best-seller.

"Grey" is awful, but James' fans are already flocking to it, and a retelling of the second and third instalments is probably in the works, according to star-telegram.

"This new novel simply isn't entertaining in the way the trilogy is from Ana's perspective," says The Washington Post.
