Buying a house in Mumbai can be tricky. Television stars had preferences they ticked off when on mission to find themselves the perfect abode.

"Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actress Divyanka Tripathi (Ishita Bhalla) loves well ventilated spaces and chose one such house in Goregaon.

"In Mumbai, there is always dearth of greenery, so I got this home in Goregaon from where I can see a lush green playground. Also the area where I stay in is easily accessible from most of the studios. It saves me a lot of time while travelling to work. I am also impressed by the security in my society," she told The Times of India.

While Divyanka worried about her rooms being airy, Rashami Desai was more interested in booking a place close to the sets.

"I don't like travelling too much from set to home on a daily basis. It takes me about 20 minutes to reach the sets from my home in Malad. Also, Malad is buzzing with activities, malls are at a walking distance and there is a good park in the locality, too," she said.

Aamir Ali took his mother's advice and checked out the surroundings before zeroing in on an apartment. Elaborating further, the actor said he's located at Lokhandwala and his area has a string of movie theatres, restaurants and bakery shops.

Sayantani Ghosh, who wishes to own a small house, said how living in a sea-facing flat can be harmful to the electronic appliances at home. The actress also believes in Vaastu and thus, a south-facing home is a big no-no for her.

Sunlight and vibe of the apartment are two top-of-the-list points actor Nakuul Mehta has in mind when house-hunting.
