Bollywood filmmaker R Balki is giving a fresh on-screen pair of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor with the film "Ki & Ka" to the audience.
The film is slated to hit the screens next year, but the curiosity and excitement around the flick began a long time back.
In a conversation with a daily, Arjun confessed that the character he is playing in the film made him learn how to cook.
In "Ki & Ka", Arjun will portray a house husband, while Kareena will play the character of an independent, career-oriented woman who is the breadwinner of the house.
When asked about his experience as the househusband and also with his co-star Kareena, Arjun told DNA, "I have also learnt to cook, thanks to this role. She's been on my wish list of actresses even before I knew I would become an actor someday."
"Our pairing is very unique. Balki sir has genuinely cast us for the roles. So when you see it, you will realise how organic it has been," he further said.
According to the "2 States" actor, his role made him realise the struggles of a housewife or a woman who runs the family.
"Like my sister runs the house when I am working. From grocery shopping to everything else," DNA quoted Arjun as saying.
"While working on 'Ki and Ka', I realised that it is not easy. Especially in a country like ours, women put in a lot of effort to balance their personal and professional lives and it's way beyond a man's capability. That's what you will take from the film," he added.
"Ki & Ka" has created a lot of buzz since the beginning and the interesting title of the film -- 'Ki' derived from the word 'ladki' (girl) and 'Ka' is taken from 'ladka' (boy) -- has got fans even more curious.
The film is about a boy and a girl who get married, but their lifestyle is different from that of regular couples.
The film also features Amitabh Bachchan and wife Jaya in a special appearance.
Interestingly, Big B and R Balki are teaming up for the fourth time after "Cheeni Kum", "Paa" and "Shamitabh".
