John Abraham and Shruti Haasan starrer "Welcome Back" is a sequel to the 2007 hit film "Welcome" starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
"Welcome" movie impressed critics with the storyline and lead casts' comic timing in 2007 and the makers are back with another laugh riot this year. "Welcome Back" has opened to positive reviews on Friday with most of the critics calling it an entertaining film. But they also mentioned that viewers will miss Akshay in the sequel.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film features Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar, Dimple Kapadia, Naseeruddin Shah and Sakshi Maggo in pivotal roles.

Sneha May Francis of Emirates 24/7 said: "It's madness that could entertain you if you are wired weirdly."
Sreeju Sudhakaran of BollywoodLife.com said: "In Welcome Back, you have inserted the scenes from the first film to build context to why this film exists in the first place. You shouldn't have done that, 'cos every viewer in the theatre is there because they enjoyed that film."
Manjari Saxena of Gulf News said: "Confused? Don't be. Simply leave your brains at home – definitely don't try understanding the climax – and go have a few laughs this weekend."
Bollywood Hungama in its review said: "If you enjoy slapstick comedy that defies logic and have enjoyed WELCOME, then WELCOME BACK is surely a paisa vasool entertainer for you."
Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV said: "The makers of Welcome Back give their utter lack of sensitivity away completely later on in the film in their portrayal of the blind don. One character calls him a "fused bulb" and that is supposed to be raise a chuckle."
Rohit Vats of Hindustan Times said: "Welcome Back is funny in parts, but that 'Welcome' fluidity is missing big time. There are moments but they are very limited in number. Welcome Back's pace is its biggest asset and that may make you enjoy this 153-minute long film."
