Is Wayne Rooney staying on with Manchester United? That remains the big question at the moment among the Man Utd loyalists and fans, apart from the next big question: what next with Antoine Griezmann out of contention in an effort to join United.

Rooney, 31, who was replaced by well...Graeme Carrick, in the Michael Carrick Testimonial match last Sunday at Old Trafford, is heavily rumoured to leave for his boyhood club Everton, this summer.

With so much talks happening over the Englishman's immediate future, comes an interestingly-timed post from the Manchester United Instagram account, making the Red Devils fans rather curious what it could mean.

The tribute post does showcase the numerous trophies won by Rooney at Old Trafford, but it also spikes up the BIG debate, again.

Rooney, we should remind, is not a part of Gareth Southgate's Three Lions squad too as England gears up to face Scotland on Sunday, June 10.

Wazza, as he is fondly referred to as, joined Manchester United in 2004. His trophy cabinet, out of numerous accolades, boosts of five Premier League titles as well as one UEFA Champions League title.

"Wayne is a massive influence around the whole squad," mentioned the 19-year-old Marcus Rashford, Rooney's teammate at United. "He still has a lot to do in his career. There's still a lot trophies he'll hope to be playing for."

"Knowing Wayne, it's nowhere near over."

Several news reports on Wednesday, June 7, claim that Juventus star forward Paulo Dybala is being targeted by Jose Mourinho as a replacement for the veteran Rooney, who meanwhile continues to get linked with Everton and even, lately, Stoke City.
