Novak Djokovic put on a show during and after his second round match at the US Open, and the world number one will now target a stroll over the experienced Andreas Seppi in the third round on Friday.

Djokovic is the heavy favourite to win the US Open, a title he has won only once previously, despite numerous final appearances, and having vanquished his opponents in the first two rounds, the Serbian will go into this match against Seppi in confident mood.

The nine-time Grand Slam winner was the man in the spotlight on Wednesday, showing his moves to the crowd at the Arthur Ashe stadium in an impromptu dance with a fan.

That came after Djokovic dispatched Andreas Haider-Maurer in the second round, barely putting a step wrong in the 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 victory.

"[I have] never played him on hard courts," Djokovic said of facing Haider-Maurer. "We played only once earlier this year on clay courts, but it's completely different.

"Obviously the fact that you warmup and you get cold several times also affects little bit beginning of the match. We were ready to go out. The match before us, it took very long.

"All in all, it was good to not stay too long on the court and get the job done in three sets."

"A job done in three sets" will be the target against Seppi as well, with Djokovic definitely more familiar with the playing style of the Italian, who is seeded 25 in this US Open.

"Seppi is somebody who has been around for many years," Djokovic said of his third round opponent. "He has a very solid game from back of the court. If you allow him to play, he can play well.

"No question about it, he's got shots. He was I think top 15, top 20 in the world. He's been there for many years. He has experience.

"He has played on Arthur Ashe. He's not going to get overwhelmed by the occasion. I'm going to try to obviously impose certain tactics, trying to control the game and kind of set my own pace to that match."

There is no-one better in the men's game at the moment to do that than Djokovic.
