"Supergirl" premiered on Monday, 26 October, to rave reviews and widespread viewership. While the "Pilot" showed the origin of Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) and her emergence as "Supergirl", the upcoming Episode 2, "Stronger Together", will see her fighting a new alien.
With James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) and Winn (Chyler Leigh) by her side, Kara is set to save National City, which is plagued by alien attacks, especially now that Supergirl has debuted. In the upcoming episode, she is set to capture the alien Hellgrammite (Justice Leak), who has escaped from Fort Rozz, the Kryptonian prison.
According to the comics, Hellgrammite used to be entomologist Roderick Rose, who was transformed into an insect-like villain with superhuman powers, thanks to an experiment gone wrong. He is wreaking havoc in Nation City, which prompts Kara to shed all insecurities and disregard the media's doubts in her.
While Kara is busy trying to defeat Hellgrammite, her boss Cat (Calista Flockhart) pressures James into getting her an interview with Supergirl. James, as we all know, is Superman's friend, and Cat hopes he can use that connection to get in touch with Supergirl as well.
According to a promo video from one of the upcoming episodes, it looks like James comes through, and provides Cat with the one-on-one interview she wants with Kara.
