The Cleveland Cavaliers have almost sealed a berth for the 2015 NBA Playoffs, as they have been very impressive this season, where they lie second in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavaliers are going to face San Antonio Spurs later tonight, who have been playing good basketball of late, which can be justified with their last six games that they have won on a trot. Hence, it would not be wrong to claim that the Cavs are in for a tough night against the Spurs, despite their standings.

The Spurs might have been energised by the Playoffs, for which they need to finish within the top eight in their conference. At present, they lie on sixth position in the competitive Western Conference.

The higher they finish in the standings table, the better it is as they do not have to face a strong team from the other conference in the Playoffs.

The Spurs players have been imposing during the season, especially the experienced star players such as Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, who knows what it takes to play in the highest level. Duncan has 14.1 points per game with 9.6 rebounds, while Parker has 14.7 points with 4.9 assists.

Kawhi Leonard has scored 15.7 points per game this season and this trio of Spurs player have been primarily responsible for Spurs' present position.

But another Spurs' player, Danny Green is aware of the performances of Cavaliers this season and of late as well, where they have two matches on a trot as well. The Cavs have a 7-3 win loss record in their last 10 games.

"(The Cavs are) playing at a high level," AP quoted Green as saying. "They've got some great guys and great players. And they're playing well together. They're starting to mesh at a key time. It's going to be a good matchup."

The match is expected to be a very tough one with both the sides playing good basketball with some key players firing. Lebron James and Kyrie Irving have been phenomenal for the Cavs, as their season's record read 26 and 21.4 points per game this season.
