Tamil actor Jayam Ravi, who is basking in the success of his latest film "Thani Oruvan", got emotional during the recent success meet of the film in Chennai.

Ravi's brother Raja Mohan, a renowned Tamil filmmaker, is often referred to as 'Remake Raja' for his ability to remake films in Tamil.

"Thani Oruvan" was Raja's first straight film, which also has Arvind Swamy and Nayantara in lead roles.

Both Ravi and his brother were happy that they got calls from superstars for getting the remake rights of the film.

"My brother sacrificed his career for me. All were calling him Remake Raja, but I knew one day he will be known as a serious filmmaker. That has happened now and am really happy for him. Now, he has become a new Raja after the release of 'Thani Oruvan'. Hats off to you brother,'' Ravi said at the event and then broke down.

Raja also hinted that many producers and music directors were not sure of being part of the film.

"All I used to do was remaking films and at a certain point of time, I was wondering what exactly I am doing. Am I actually a director by remaking all the movies? I was thinking of many such questions. Even when I wanted to make a straight film, there were only a few people, who actually believed in me. Still, I was particular about doing "Thani Oruvan". I thank everybody who supported me in making this dream come true," said Raja.

Ravi began his acting career in Tamil as a hero in the action-masala film "Jayam", which was directed by his brother. The actor will be seen next in "Miruthan" and the delayed project "Bhooloham".
