As "Downton Abbey" Season 6 finale airs tonight, fans of the show will bid goodbye to the Crawleys and a show that depicts the socio-political and cultural changes that took place in the British society in the early 20th century.

Ever since Season 6 premiered, change has been the only constant on the show. The patriarch of the Crawley family, Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) is a different person and so is the rest of his family. We predict that the ITV series will surprise audiences tonight with some more changes in the season finale and expose a paradigm shift in the relationship between the Crawleys. 

In the promo for Episode 8,  Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) has a huge fight with her beau, Henry Talbot (Matthew Goode). In the previous episode, Mary breaks off her relationship with the car racer after witnessing a death on the race track. It appears, however, that Henry will be relentless in his pursuit of Mary, and perhaps comes across as a bully. This is ironic, considering the fact that Lady Mary has, in many ways, bullied her younger sister, Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael) ever since the series began.

In the teaser, Mary stands her ground and tells Henry in no uncertain terms that she cannot be with him. She says, "You come here, into my home uninvited in order to call me a grubby little gold digger? You've got a nerve." 

Epsiode 8 will largely focus on Lady Mary as she struggles to cope with the end of her short but sweet relationship. Furthermore, the eldest of the Crawley daughters faces the wrath of her sibling, Lady Edith, who accuses her of being blind and selfish. 

The Express reported that "Downton Abbey" Season 6, Episode 8 will be quite emotional. "... loose ends are tied up tonight with dramatic climaxes in the six-year reign of Britain's most popular period drama," the publication reported. 

In the promo clip, Branson loses his cool and says, "You can't stop ruining things." This, we predict, is his reaction to Lady Edith and Bertie Pelham's engagement which could end.

Episode 8's synopsis reads: 

"Bertie's circumstances change suddenly, leaving Edith uncertain whether to risk telling him the truth or keep her past a secret at all costs. Mary wonders if she can ever make peace with her sister, as hostilities escalate, Spratt shows some hidden talents and Molesley's first day as a teacher does not go according to plan. Mrs Patmore's bed and breakfast attracts unwanted attention, leaving her in need of the Crawleys' help."
