After a major disappointment in the 2014 World Cup at home, Brazil have looked in amazing form with nine consecutive victories. The Brazilians are set to start off their Copa America campaign against Peru at Estadio Municipal Bicentenario Germán Becker on Sunday.

Brazil are placed in group C alongside, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela and the Brazilians are favourites to top the group, but their performance against Colombia may well prove to be the decider.

After replacing Luiz Felipe Scolari as the coach of the national team, Dunga has worked wonders with Brazil and have helped them gain back the self-belief after the thrashing at the hands of the eventual 2014 World Cup winners, Germany.

Defeat to Germany in the semi-finals of the competition, 7-1 was one of the lowest point in Brazilian football, but they have gradually come back and this Copa America 2015 could help them salvage pride if they lift the title.

With stellar performances of late, Brazil go into their first match of their campaign as clear favourites.

But as the competition moves beyond the group stages, it is not going to be a walk in the park for the Brazilians with teams such as host nation Chile being a dangerous side at home.

Nations like Argentina, Uruguay and Colombia being a major force to reckon with as well, the 2015 Copa America is expected to be a big fight for supremacy in the South American football.

With a number of players vying for a game against Peru, Dunga might have some selection headaches. He feels his players needs to be on toes to play for the national side.

"If a player closes the eye, the other comes in and takes over. That is the Selecao," Goal quoted Dunga as saying.

The team possesses some big names in world football such as David Luiz, Filipe Luis, Fernandinho, Philippe Coutinho, Willian, Neymar and if these players get their act going, other teams in the competition will fear the side in yellow.

Peru, on the other hand might consider themselves unlucky as they figure in a group, which includes another favourite, Colombia. Hence, their road to the knock-out stages looks an uphill task.

Peru might be a confident side in spite of facing the strong-looking Brazilian side as they have defeated teams such as Paraguay and Gautemala in their international friendly matches.

Hence, they need to come up with their best effort to get a chance to even salvage a point.
