In its bid to sway more foot-falls in to its stores ahead of Christmas holiday season, American retail behemoth Walmart is offering huge discounts on Apple's best smartphone series yet, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Walmart is giving away 16GB iPhone 6 models for just $129 (around €104/₹8,110), whereas iPhone 6 Plus can be bought for as low as $229 (around €184/₹15,000), provided customers sign two-year contract with one of three network carriers (AT & T, Sprint and Verizon Wireless), reported Bloomberg.
That's not all; Walmart is offering $50 discount on 64GB models of Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, bring down the prices from $279 and $379 to $229 and $329 respectively.
It is learnt that the recently concluded Black Friday weekend shopping festival was a bit dull this year. As per NRF (National Retail Federation) estimation, sales dropped to 11% during the course of the weekend.
Moreover, Walmart also claimed that the American shopping pattern has changed over the years. Now consumers aren't focused on just single day to shop for all the gifts.
In that order, the discounts on the new iPhone 6 series is said to last till February next year, reported The Huffington Post.
