Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2 has done well at the Chennai box office despite mixed response from the audience. The movie has managed to do a better business than other new releases.

In the first weekend, Vishwaroopam 2 has grossed Rs 3.03 crore in three days. The collection of the Kamal-starrer could have been higher if the special morning shows would have been cancelled, say trade analysts.

Other Tamil release Pyaar Prema Kaadhal is in the second place at the Chennai box office. It has raked in Rs 69 lakh which is huge number for a movie which does not have an A-list actor.

Moving on to other films, Hollywood flick The Meg is in the third place by earning Rs 41.51 lakh from 156 shows and Telugu movie Srinivasa Kalyanam has collected Rs 12.36 lakh from 36 shows, reports Behindwoods.

English movie Mission: Impossible – Fallout has entered its third weekend by earning Rs 6.62 lakh from 21 shows. The total collection of the movie stands at Rs 2.34 crore.

The business of Arya's Ghajinikanth saw a complete dip in its second weekend as it could collect just Rs 3.96 lakh from 30 shows to take its total tally to Rs 1.52 crore. Vijay Sethupathi, in its third weekend, has earned Rs 1.89 lakh from 18 shows to take its total tally to Rs 3.28 crore.
