The film critics have been bowled over by Ram Charan's performance in Vinaya Vidheya Rama (VVR). But they are upset with Boyapati Srinu's script and say that he failed to do justice to Cherry's image.

Vinaya Vidheya Rama revolves around the story of Ram (Ram Charan), who is an orphan and is brought up along with his orphan-brothers (Prashanth, Aryan Rajesh and others) by a doctor (Chalapathi Rao). He is ready to do anything for his brothers. What happens when a dreaded gangster called Raja Bhai (Vivek Oberoi) kidnaps one of his brothers forms the rest of the story.

Analysis: Vinaya Vidheya Rama is old wine in a new bottle and Boyapati Srinu has failed to give it a fresh touch. Ram Charan has delivered brilliant performance and his chemistry with Kiara Advani is good. Vivek Oberoi and others have done justice to their roles. Its production values are god and action, music, dialogues and camera work are the attraction on the technical front, say the critics.

The Ram Charan starrer has been rated an average of 2.35 out of 5 stars. We bring you some critics' verdict and ratings for the movie. Continue to see them in Vinaya Vidheya Rama review roundup:

123Telugu Rating: 2.75

Vinaya Vidheya Rama is a typical Boyapati film with his trademark elevation scenes and fights. The only difference here is that Charan is showcased in a new manner but the story and treatment remind you of the same old Boyapati films in the past. The film is clearly made for the masses and fans and will only please them. But for all those who look for something new and expect fresh taking and entertainment, the film ends up as a below-par watch. So, keep your expectations in check as you exactly know what is coming your way.

Tollywood Rating: 2.5

Vinaya Vidheya Rama has rightfully come up for praise thanks for the difficult stunts that Ram Charan has pulled off. It's Ram Charan's show all the way and he packs a solid punch. But it's sad that all that hard work gets lost in a film that needed better writing. But there is a lot of good and interesting stuff that appeal the audiences. Vinaya Vidheya Rama belongs to Ram Charan whose delicious performance is its biggest strength.

Gulte Rating: 2

There is absolutely zero story in the film, which is full of lead scenes to a song or a fight. Vinaya Vidheya Rama is not a film that actors would be proud being a part of. Even diehard fans would find it difficult to sit through the overdose of masala. Sad to see Ram Charan picking a lacklustre film like this one after rediscovering himself as an actor with Rangasthalam. Not even festive season could save this dud

Mirchi9 Rating: 2.25

Vinaya Vidheya Rama has a passable first half keeping the usual mass leniency in mind, but the second half derails in a disastrous fashion and with it takes down the entire movie. Even if you are a hardcore action movie lover Vinaya Vidheya Rama is a difficult pill to swallow.

Telugu360 Rating: 2.25

Vinaya Vidheya Rama is a nothing but a medley of action episodes with a very flimsy story line. Given the festive season , the movie might rake in the money in Telugu states to some extent. Overall, it is a huge disappointment coming after super successful 'Rangasthalam'

#VinayaVidheyaRama is atrocious. There is not a single thing which comes to the film's rescue, except the "The End" card in the end. VVR is Very Very Random
