Buzz surrounding Vijay-Murugadoss' film seems to be on the rise with every passing day.

One of the most-awaited aspects of the film is its title. Earlier, names such as "Athiradi" and "Vaal" were doing the rounds in media circles but the latest buzz is that the title "Dheeran" is under consideration by the film's team. However, the final decision on the film's title is yet to be taken and an official announcement on this regard is expected soon.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be playing the female lead for the first time in a Vijay film. Comedian Sathish of "Ethir Neechal" fame is reportedly playing a significant role in the film, while Bengali actor Tota Roy is the villain. The film's music is composed by young sensation Anirudh, who has already completed three songs and is set to finish the rest soon. Details about other supporting cast members are not yet known. 

Vijay and team have already begun shooting for the film, which is touted to be an action entertainer. The film's shooting was held in Kolkata and Chennai and the team is now reportedly moving to Hyderabad for the next schedule.

The shooting is progressing at a fast pace and director Murugadoss is reportedly planning to complete the project in six months. According to a report by Sify, Murugadoss will be completing the shooting in three schedules and take a two-week gap in May to complete the post-production work of second directorial in Hindi - "Holiday - A solider is never off duty", which is the remake of Tamil blockbuster flick "Thuppakki."

"Holiday" is set to hit the screens on 6 June. Post the film's release, Murugadoss is expected to focus on Vijay's project. The untitled film is reportedly gearing up for an August release.
