Kerala film fans witnessed a star-studded Vanitha-Cera Awards night on Sunday, 15 February, which honoured the best performances of the Malayalam entertainment industry for the year 2014.
The event took place at Bristow Ground on Wellingdon Island on Sunday at 6.30 pm.
While Mammootty ("Varsham") and Manju Warrier ("How Old Are You") won the best actor and actress awards respectively, Abrid Shine's sports drama film "1983" was awarded the best film title.
The event also witnessed the presence of all popular faces from the industry, including Jayaram, Asif Ali, Jayasurya, Anoop Menon, director Anjali Menon, Dulquer Salmaan, Aju Varghese, Nikki Galrani and Namitha Pramod among others.
Shreya Ghoshal, who received the best singer award for the song 'Vijanathayil' from the film "How Old Are You" mersmerised the audience with her mind-blowing performance.
Bollywood sensation Mallika Sherawat, Shriya Saran, Shwetha Menon, Kavya Madhavan and Aparna Gopinath also performed during the gala event.
Vanitha awards also became the first platform for the live performance of Shankar Mahadevan and his son Siddhartha Mahadevan.
