The release of Kunchacko Boban and Shamili's Malayalam movie "Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti" (VTPT), which was scheduled to hit the screens on April 29, has been postponed again.

The Rishi Sivakumar directorial, which was initially eyeing to rock the box office in Kerala during Vishu, is now poised to release during the first week of May. The delay in its technical works as well as theatre strike in Kerala are said to be the reasons behind him re-scheduling the release of the movie.

As of now, Chemban Vinod Jose and Mrudula Murali-starrer "Shikhamani" is the only Malayalam movie that will be released on Friday, April 29. Helmed by Vinod Guruvayoor, "Shikhamani" tells the story of a railway gang-man (Chemban Vinod), who helps Devika Raghavendra (Mrudula) after she gets trapped at the Korangini forest.

However, it has to be noted that the makers of most of the Malayalam movies are failing to release the films on the announced dates, citing technical issues or theatre strikes in the state. The release dates of many recent big-budget Malayalam movies, including Dileep's "King Liar," Prithviraj Sukumaran's "James and Alice" and Mammootty's "White," were postponed due to various reasons. The Prithviraj-Vedhika starrer, directed by Sujith Vaassudev, will hit the screens in Kerala on May 5.

Meanwhile, the makers of "VTPT," which also has Manoj K Jayan, Renji Panicker, Suresh Krishna, Saiju Kurup, Sudheer Karamana and Krishna Sankar in pivotal roles, have launched an official website of the movie on Wednesday. The movie is one of the most-awaited flicks of the year as it marks the comeback of Shamili to Mollywood after 18 years. The songs in the movie by Sooraj S Kurup have already got the attention of the audience and filmmaker B Unnikrishnan had posted on Facebook, lauding the music director's debut attempt in the industry.
