All the UFC and boxing world seems to be talking about now is the highly-anticipated boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. The two fighters confirmed their mega money boxing match recently with the bout set to take place on 26 August at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena.

The fight is expected to be the highest grossing Pay Per View boxing match of all-time and while McGregor does not have the backing of the boxing world, his fellow UFC fighter has backed him to test Mayweather.

The likes of Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Dereck Chisora and Ricky Hatton all believe that this is a complete mismatch and feel that the UFC lightweight champion will definitely lose to the undefeated boxer.

While the boxing community is certainly not giving the Irishman any chance in this boxing match, former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm and Li Jingliang, China's top MMA prospect, have backed McGregor to at least test Mayweather.

Holm, who was a professional boxer before she made the switch to MMA, would know all about what McGregor needs to do to cause an upset against Mayweather. Holm has a boxing record of 33 wins from 38 bouts and is set to take on Bethe Correia this weekend. She believes that McGregor is going to put up a good fight.

"I'm one of those who believes in being able to cross over. Boxing is a whole different world... but Conor really believes in himself, and I think he's going to put up a good fight. Anything can happen so that's why I like to watch from the outside, it's unknown; you don't know what's going to happen," Boxing Scene quoted Holm as saying.

Meanwhile, Li, who is also on the fight card at UFC Singapore this weekend, said McGregor's fight against Mayweather is a chance for MMA fighters to show they are well-rounded fighters. The Chinese MMA star believes that McGregor has an advantage and the fact that he is more powerful will make a difference.

Apart from Holm and Li, Joe Carr, who is the head of international and content at UFC, also feels that McGregor has a huge chance to cause an upset and said that one punch could make all the difference.

"The difference in combat sport is that one punch can change everything and what you need to do is to land that one punch. What we know is that Conor McGregor is a huge hitter and he's been knocking people out for the last few years," Carr said.
