The boxing match between UFC star Conor McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is edging closer and closer to becoming a reality after UFC president Dana White revealed that the Irishman has signed his side of the deal. All that remains now is for Mayweather to reach an agreement so that this mega money super fight can finally happen.

If McGregor and Mayweather do square off, the UFC lightweight champion is expected to pocket around $75 million, which is a lot more than he will ever earn fighting for the UFC. After it was revealed how much the Irishman could earn from this fight, there were rumours that he could retire but he was quick to dismiss that.

However, the UFC President recently said that he does not expect McGregor to continue fighting in the UFC if he is going to earn less than the Mayweather fight. White also expects McGregor to land punches in the fight and he's not sure if Mayweather's chin will be able to take the power.

"Conor could make $75 million but how do you come back to UFC and fight for $10 million? He may never fight again. You have to be hungry and you may not be hungry with $75 million in the bank, but he is hungry for Mayweather and hungry to prove people wrong," GGN news quoted White as saying.

Mayweather is currently in the UK with his protégé Gervonta Davis and with only his signature holding back this fight. The American said he would get back home and sign his side of the deal and seemed confident that he and McGregor will have this super fight.

"They said Conor McGregor signed his end of the deal. I look forward to signing my end of the deal. I haven't signed my end of the deal yet so once I get home, I'll communicate with my team, I'll talk with Al Haymon, I'll talk with Leonard, and we'll see what we come up with. We'll put all our great minds together and we're gonna have another super fight," Mayweather said.

If the fight actually does happen it is expected to take place sometime this year itself and while Mayweather is busy promoting his protégé, McGregor is busy in the gym getting in shape for the fight. The Irishman also asked Mayweather to sign the contract and despite having no boxing experience, he seemed confident about his chances.

Solid work today. Sign your end Floyd or you are just a mouth.
