Tum Bin 2, which stars Neha Sharma, Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati and was released on Friday, November 18, has received mixed reviews from critics.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film is the sequel of 2001 release hit film Tum Bin, starring Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sandali Sinha, Himanshu Malik and Raqesh Vashisth. While the makers of Tum Bin 2 tried to retain the same magic as that of the prequel, which had received immense love from the audience, the sequel didn't quite live up to the audience's expectation.
While the cast, including newcomers Aditya and Aashim, have done justice to their roles, the story didn't have much to offer and the soundtrack too failed to impress the audience. However, some of the highlights of the film were the special appearances by West Indian cricketer Dwayne Bravo and television actress Mouni Roy, who sizzled in Nachna Aaonda Nahin song, a recreated version of the famous Punjabi folk number.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha, Tum Bin 2 was shot in the beautiful locales of Glasgow and other regions in Scotland.

Surabhi Redkar of Koimoi said: "Making a romantic drama does not mean putting romantic background scores or songs alone, there is absolutely no chemistry between the three and I kept wondering 'where's the love?'. Some scenes in the second half are unintentionally funny, like an airport scene where Amar arrives after his coma and suddenly a group of strangers start dancing around him with a 'dholak'. Climax has been shot terribly and it is an actual 'Wtf' moment when both the guys are pushing the girl away like 'bro tu rakh le, nai bro seriously!' Teri Fariyad with Jagjit Singh's vocals is the best thing to happen to this film. Like the film's dialoge 'pyaar bewaja hota hai', this film is also equally 'bewajah'. Spare yourself from this romantic drama."
Sameeksha of News18 said: "Overall the film thrives on its emotional quotient and the picturesque locales in Scotland. Since it has nothing new to offer, it comes across as just another mediocre film. Go for it if you are love typical Bollywood romance and cheesy love lessons, otherwise, catch its television premiere on a good lazy afternoon."
Udita Jhunjhunwala of Firstpost said: "Unlike the musical success of its predecessor, Ankit Tiwari and Nikhil-Vinay's soundtrack does not deliver any memorable songs. Do you really greet a long lost love, believed to be dead, by thumping him on the chest, as if it's his fault he was in a coma? Credit though to the lead actors Sharma, Seal, Gulati and Kanwaljit for bringing heft to their roles despite some lifeless writing, thus rescuing the film from being completely humdrum."
Rajat Tripathi of Bollywood Life said: "Tum Bin is a shiny bright red balloon that is floating upwards towards a pointed needle. You want a gush of wind to sway away the balloon from its path, but fate and the director has other plans. Overall, Tum Bin 2 is sweet, well acted, and heightens its impact with the beautiful music. Watch it for sure if you swear by PS I Love You, Aashiqui 2, The Fault in Our Stars and such."
