Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has topped the Television Rating Points (TRPs) charts on week 37 (September 10 to September 16) of 2016.

According to data released by television audience measurement agency, the Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC), Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki has garnered 7.8million viewership in urban areas. Going by the show's popularity, it appears like the viewers are opening up on content related to LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community.

The second in the list of top scorers is Brahmarakshas - Jaag Utha Shaitan with 7million viewership, followed by Saath Nibhaana Saathiya (6.5million viewership). Saath Nibhaana Saathiya had witnessed a major jump in its rating ever since lead actor Mohammad Nazim re-entered the show on popular demand.

The Kapil Sharma Show garnered 6.4million viewership, which is much higher than its previous week's ratings. It however, remains in the top position under the non-fiction category. Bollywood singer Arijit Singh's appearance on the show on Sunday's episode, has contributed to the show's high TRPs.

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, with its interesting twists and turns, has managed to grab the fifth position with 6.3million viewership. Surprisingly, Kumkum Bhagya, which had enjoyed the top position for several weeks, failed to make it to the top five positions.

As for the ranking of television channels, Star Plus continues to remain at the top in urban areas. It was followed by Colors TV and Zee TV. Colors TV, which was the number one channel for the past several weeks, suffered a blow perhaps due to the low ratings of its shows, including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 and 24. The other top channels are Sony Entertainment Television, Sony SAB, Life OK, &TV, Zee Anmol, STAR Utsav and Sony Pal.
