At least three people were killed and 15 others injured in a massive explosion in the upper portion of a multi-storey building located at Maskan Chowrangi in Karachi's Gulshan-e-Iqbal, according to Pakistan's Geo News.

Police and Rangers teams reached the spot soon after the incident and launched a rescue operation. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where the condition. 

The visuals from the location reveal that the building and the infrastructure have been damaged. The blast, reportedly,  took place on the second floor of the multi-storey building. According to eyewitnesses, the windows of nearby buildings as well as some vehicles were also damaged.

The cause of the blast has not yet been ascertained. However, Mubina Town police SHO said that it "seems to be a cylinder blast", adding that the bomb disposal squad is arriving to verify the cause of the explosion, as per reports by Dawn.
