Just when you thought you would not get to see Daniel Sharman on screen for a while, considering his character Kol Mikaelson on CW's "The Originals" is dead, at least temporarily, the English star book a pilot in the CBS medical drama "LFE".

Sharman has been cast in the leading role, as a second-year medical resident at a reputed hospital in New York City.

Sharman, who got his big break as the recurring character Isaac Lahey in "Teen Wolf" will a good-hearted, expertly talented surgical resident Joe, reports Deadline. The show will reportedly follow the lives of a group of second-year residents at a top New York City hospital who struggle to strike a balance between their god complexes and humanity.

Sharman, who had gained popularity among young viewers with MTV's supernatural drama series "Teen Wolf", had left it after season 3 to explore other opportunities. From 2014, Sharman has also had a recurring role as one of the originals vampires in The CW show "The Originals".

He lives a short life as the vampire-turned witch Kol, who had finally earned respect from his siblings. Although it can be safely assumed that he would be brought back to "The Originals", according to how things were left in the episode of his death, he has a job secured at CBS in the mean time.
