So much is happening around Taylor Swift within a few days. She appeared on "The Voice" USA Season 7 Knockout Rounds as the advisor for the remaining contestants before being named the Global Welcome Ambassador of New York City. Then she released her much-anticipated album. 1989, on Monday, the day her collaboration with the New York City was announced.

Taylor Swift's fifth album, 1989, that includes the single "Shake It Off" was officially released on Monday morning from Big Machine Records. The album has 13 songs: "Welcome To New York," "Blank Space," "Style," "Out Of The Woods," "All You Had To Do Was Stay," "Shake It Off," "I Wish You Would," "Bad Blood," "Wildest Dreams," "How You Get The Girl," "This Love," "I Know Places," and "Clean."

All eyes are on the album, as it is the 24-year-old's first pop album after her stint in country music. Moreover, music industry watchers are curious whether it will be the first album to hit platinum this year.

With her first single "Shake It Off" opening at No.1 spot in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, people in the music industry are expected the album to sell like hot cake.

The first week sales forecast for the album has been upgraded thrice in the last couple of weeks with Industry sources now projecting it at over 900,000 copies in the week ending 2 November against the forecast of between 800,000 and 900,000 made last week, and 750,000 projected in the previous week, according to Billboard

It won't come as a surprise if 1989 sells a million copies like Taylor's previous album, Red, as she has a huge fan base. However, the actual figures will come out only when Nielsen SoundScan announces it on 5 November.

It was earlier reported that the album was leaked online, three days before its official release, but it is expected not to affect the sales much like in the case of the singer's previous album, Red, which was leaked but went on to sell over a million copies in its first week. Moreover, her fans took to Twitter, requesting people not to listen to the songs before its release.

Music lovers and fans of Taylor Swift can now preview, buy and download all the songs from the album, 1989, on iTunes
