Decks have been cleared to welcome the much-awaited hatchback from the house of Tata Motors. The Zica, which was unveiled in India on 1 December, is expected to make its India debut in early 2016.

Zica, the hatchback to join the Tata's passenger car portfolio, is expected to hit the market with aggressive price tag. Now, if you have the new Zica in your wishlist, here we round up for you all things that you need to know.

Tata Zica-engine

Tata has equipped its new Zica with petrol and diesel mills. The powertrain of Tata Zica will include 1.2-litre three-cylinder DOHC aluminum motor and a 1.0-litre three-cylinder diesel engine. While the petrol engine tuned to dish out 83.8bhp of power at 6000 rpm and 114Nm of torque at 3500 rpm, the diesel mill is capable of putting out 69bhp of power 4000 rpm and 140Nm of torque between 1800 – 3000 rpm. Fuel efficiency figures of Zica are not yet revealed, however, expect it to give impressive mileage. In both variants of Tata Zica, the transmission will be taken care of by a five speed manual gearbox.

Zica- dimensions

Zica measures 3746 mm long, 1647 mm wide, 1535 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2400 mm. It comes with a ground clearance of 170 mm and offers a boot space of 242 liters. Tata Zica petrol variant weighs 1,012 kgs and the diesel variant weighs 1,080 kgs.

Tata Zica comes with features like Harman infotainment system with 8 speakers, steering mounted audio controls for telephony, electrically adjustable ORVM, cooled glove box, foldable key and roof antenna. On the safety front, Zica gets Advanced Dual Path Suspension, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution) and Corner Stability Control.

Tata Zica-price

Tata will reveal the cost of new Zica at the launch of the car in early January. However, the rumours hover around a price tag in the range of Rs 3.6 lakh to 5.8 lakh (Ex-showroom).

Tata Zica-colours

The colour palette of Zica will include Platinum Silver, Pearlescent White, Sunburst Orange, Berry Red, Espresso Brown and Striker Blue.
