New fully-revealing interior photos of Tata's upcoming Safari Storme facelift have emerged online, detailing the updated features of the model.

The new images, taken by folks at MotorOctane, show the new gear knob which has got different shift pattern, R-1-2-3-4-5 layout; as we know the usual pattern is 1-2-3-4-5-R. Moving further, the facelifted avatar also seems to have got a new steering wheel with new stitching. Although, from the images, it is not clear if the model is using a 6-speed gearbox or 6-speed, rumours doing the rounds on the web indicate that a six-speed could find its place in the new facelifted avatar of Safari Storme.

Going by the words of original publisher of the spy shots, the top-end variant of the new Safari Storme facelift will get a new Harman Kardon music system. Under the hood, the facelifted avatar of Safari Storme is likely to pack 2.2-litre four-cylinder VariCOR diesel engine with improved output of 160PS and 400Nm of torque .The current Safari Storme model has the capacity to produce 138bhp of power.

The changes in the exterior are limited to minor tweaks in the front with new honeycomb grille. Tata Safari Storme facelift is expected to make its market entry in April with a likely price tag in the range of ₹10-₹13 lakh. In India, Safari Storme competes against the likes of Mahindra Scorpio and Renault Duster.
