Snapped by Team BHP, the latest spy shots of Tata Kite, which is supposedly monikered Glade, show a black cabin along with the standard centre console of the model.

A closer look at the picture also reveals the infotainment system of Kite (probably a Harman-Kardon unit), rectangular AC vents and three-spoke steering wheels.

Tata Kite, the hatchback based on Indica's platform, is expected to include the company's new 1.05-litre three-cylinder common-rail diesel motor, which can churn out power of 64.1bhp and 14.27kgm of torque, and the all-new 1.2-litre petrol engine.

We also hear the company could introduce e-clutch system similar to AMT, which allows drivers to use manual transmission for the first gear without using the clutch. There have also been rumours of an AMT variant of Kite.

Tata Motors is also readying a sedan based on Kite and the model is currently undergoing testing in India.

To be pitted against Maruti Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Kite is likely to be priced around ₹4 lakh.
