If the latest reports are anything to go by, then Tata Motors is likely to reveal its Kite in India in December.

An Indian Autos Blog report claims that Tata will reveal its Kite to the Indian media in the first week of December. However, the report did not specify which of the Kite models (Kite sedan and Kite hatchback) that are currently under development will be the first to be out of the block.

It was reported recently that the production of Tata Kite hatchback will begin at the company's Sanand plant in Gujarat in December. Considering this, the first Kite model to come out of the production plant is likely to be the hatchback.

Tata Kite, a hatchback built on a new platform, is likely to get the company's new 1.05 litre three-cylinder common-rail diesel motor that can churn out power of 64.1bhp and 14.27kgm of torque and an all-new 1.2-litre petrol engine. It is expected to include triple-arm steering wheel and Harman music system and OVRMs with integrated turn indicators.

Expected to be priced at around Rs 4 lakh, Tata Kite will take on the likes of Maruti Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10 in India.
