After filing complaint with Mumbai Police and cybercell, it has come to light that Akshara Haasan
had sent pictures which she had privately clicked in innerwear to her ex-boyfriend Tanuj Virmani.
However, Tanuj has denied any involvement in leaking her private pictures which had gone viral on
social media a few days ago.
Akshara and Tanuj were in a relationship and Kamal Haasan's youngest daughter had shared the
pictures with him in 2013. They parted ways in May 2017.
When he was asked about Akshara's leaked pictures controversy, Tanuj Virmani, son of veteran actress Rati Agnihotri, told Spotboye, "Akshara and I were dating for 4 years, from 2013 - 2017. She had sent me those pictures in 2013. The same ones. But they were for my eyes only. And I certainly haven't let them out. I used to see those pictures and delete them."
He added, "Even I had sent her as many pictures during that period. There was an exchange of not
just pictures but SMS and WhatsApp texts too. It is really unfortunate that it all had to come out this
way."
Tanuj further said that his phone was broken at that time and didn't sell it. "It must be lying
somewhere at home," he said.
After the leak, Akshara had called Tanuj to ask him whether he was still in possession of those
pictures.
"She asked me if I still had those pictures. She told me that those pictures had leaked. I didn't know
about that till then. She was very nice on the phone and didn't even accuse me," Tanuj said adding
that he will surely contribute in any way to find out the real miscreant who leaked Akshara's private
pictures online.
Meanwhile, a senior officer from Versova Police Station who is investigating the matter told Mumbai Mirror, "Akshara was using an iphone 6 till 2013, which had the photos. Prima facie investigation has revealed the photos were shared with Tanuj in 2013. He may be summoned for questioning."
