Last week's release, "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" (TWMR), has collected ₹85.07 crore at the Indian box office in nine days. Now, the Kangana Ranaut starrer is expected to surpass the mark of ₹100 crore on its 10th day.

"Tanu Weds Manu Returns" concluded the first week with a superb collection of ₹70.02 crore at the Indian box office. Trade experts predicted that the film would see a steep decline in its collection as it would clash with new releases such as "Welcome 2 Karachi", "P Se PM Tak", Ishqedarriyaan, "I Love Desi", "Madmast Barkhaa" and "San Andreas".

Its business slipped down, but not up to the expected mark. When compared to its opening day collection, the movie witnessed around 25% drop on its second Friday. But the collection was much bigger than the first-day business of many big-ticket Bollywood movies released earlier this year. "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" collected ₹6.65 crore in the domestic market on its eighth day.

With new releases getting mixed response, "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" became the first choice for many film-goers on its second Saturday. When compared to the previous day, its business improved by over 40%. On its second Saturday, the film has collected ₹9.40 crore net at the Indian box office, taking its nine-day domestic total collection to ₹85.07 crore net.

"Tanu Weds Manu Returns" needs another ₹15 crore to surpass the magical mark of ₹100 crore. As per early trends, the film has witnessed huge growth on its second Sunday, but it may fail to achieve this number by a small margin. The film is expected to rake in over ₹13.50 crore on its 10th day.
