Islamic State (Isis) militants in the Syrian city of Raqqa have banned men from wearing skinny jeans and is imprisoning anyone found violating the new law.

A Syrian monitoring group - Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently- reported that men who violate the Isis skinny jeans ban are imprisoned for ten days, where they are made to go through an Islamic course.

Isis claims that skinny jeans are an un-Islamic outfit.

"They (are) released, if they pass the test. But those who fail will be kept behind bars until they pass," said Abu Mohammed of Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently (RIBSS).

RIBSS, which is an anti-Isis group, said that the bizarre rules made by Isis have to be followed as those who oppose it are arrested on charges of violation of God's law and beheaded.

In Raqqa, which is an Isis stronghold in Syria, the Sunni militant group wrests complete power and the group has imposed dozens of similar such rules that it claims to be as per the Sharia.

The group has also put a blanket ban in Raqqa on music, and anyone caught with keeping music on his mobile phone is harassed and punished, according to RIBSS.
