Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motorcycle India has tied up with online marketplace Snapdeal for the sale of its two-wheelers in India. The prospective customers will be able to browse Suzuki products on the Snapdeal Motors platform, select a vehicle, book the vehicles by paying booking amount online and select a dealership. The vehicle will be delivered at the nearest dearleship of the company.

As part of initial offers, Suzuki vehicles on Snapdeal can be bought with 1 year free vehicle insurance. The Snapdeal Motors website has listed Suzuki Gixxer, Gixxer SF and Hayate motorcycles, and the Swish, Access and Let's scooters in the website.

"A tie up with an online giant like Snapdeal was a logical choice for Suzuki as internet and e-commerce is starting to become a popular channel in India. We are sure that this collaboration will be profitable for Snapdeal, Suzuki and our customers," said Masayoshi Ito, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycles India.

Snapdeal Motor, a specialised website of online marketplace Snapdeal, to sell vehicles online was launched on 6 November. The website started selling of Hero Motocorp motorcycles and Piaggio India commercial vehicles initially. The website also listed Mahindra Rise, which will include two-wheeler and four-wheeler division, Maruti Suzuki and Datsun with "coming soon" tag. Many manufactures are expected to join the portfolio soon.
