Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki is wasting no time to grab a share in the two wheeler market. The company has started accepting the bookings for its upcoming Gixxer 150 in India.

Powered by 155cc single cylinder, SOHC air cooled engine, which can churn out 13.7 bhp of power and 14Nm of torque, the new Gixxer from Suzuki is expected to reach the domestic market in the coming weeks. An earlier report had said that the company will launch the new bike on 10 August; however, Suzuki is yet to confirm it. We don't know the price of the bike as well, but the rumour is that the company would price it in the ₹75,000 brackets.

The Gixxer 150, a stylish offering of Suzuki will feature Telescopic suspension at the front and Mono Suspension at the rear. The bike, which made its first appearance at the Delhi Auto Expo will have a fuel tank capacity of 12 Ltr.

It measures 2,050 mm in length, 785 mm in width, 1,030 mm in height and has a wheel base of 1,330 mm. In India, Gixxer will be available in five colour options - Metallic Oort Grey, Candy Antares Red, Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue and Pearl Mirage White and it will take on the likes of Hero Xtreme and Honda CB Trigger.

For Suzuki, the launch of Gixxer is significant in the country as it is trying to tap new sales volumes in the domestic market. Recently, the company had slashed the price of its Inazuma GW250 street bike in India. In India, the Inazuma GW250 is pegged against KTM Duke 200, Honda CBR250R and Kawasaki Ninja 300 and was launched at ₹3.61 lakh.

Under the hood, the Suzuki motorcycle packs a 248cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine, which generates a power of 26 bhp and a torque of 24.4 Nm. The bike is mated to a six-speed gearbox and features telescopic front forks and disc brakes.

Suzuki also introduced its 110cc segment scooter Let's in India with a price tag of ₹46,925 (ex-showroom Chennai). Currently, Suzuki markets Access 125 and Swish 125 scooters in India. Let's is powered by 112.8cc engine, which can churn out 8.7 bhp of peak power and 9 Nm of peak torque.
