Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS platforms gets a new update.smashbros.com

Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS has finally got a new update, version 1.1.0. The update has since gone live.

This new update brings new content and features into the game. That includes four new DLC characters that include Mewtwo, Lucas, Roy and Ryu. New Mii costumes will be rolling out for King K. Rool, Chrom, Flying Man from the Earthbound gamers, Bear, Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia, the Black Knight from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, KK Slider from the Animal Crossing games, and a Samus set.

The update also confirms the Tournament mode and YouTube uploading. Two new stages have also been added, namely Peach's Castle and Hyrule Castle.

The update will need 3383 blocks of free space on your Nintendo 3DS and 475MB on Wii U platform.

It has to be noted that this update is mandatory and videos that were recorded with the previous version of the game will not work anymore.

Along with the above additions, the update will balance gameplay and bring stability with some minor changes.

  • Users will be able to purchase newly added downloadable content.
  • Added Community and Regular Tournament Modes.
  • Added functionality to post replays to YouTube.
  • Adjustments have also been made for a more pleasant gaming experience.
