Comedian Sunil Grover's comedy show Kanpur Wale Khuranas had failed to entertain the audience and had garnered low Television Rating Point (TRP). The eight-episode show had started airing from December 15 and now it will soon be going off-air.

Confirming the news to Pinkvilla, Sunil Grover said, "It is because of me. I had signed the show for 8 weeks ONLY because my dates were locked for Bharat, the movie. I had made this clear even during the press conference and interviews that I could only accommodate this much time. I am kickstarting the last leg of shoot for Bharat from today, and I just want to thank the team who made this show happen including the channel and the guests who accommodated dates because of my schedule."

Apart from Sunil Grover, Kanpur Wale Khuranas also Ali Agar, Upasna Singh and Sugandha Mishra among others.

Meanwhile, The Kapil Sharma Show season 2, which aired its first episode on December 29, 2018, has become the second most viewed television show in India within two weeks of its launch.

The second season of the comedy show, which brings an ensemble cast of host Kapil Sharma and Navjot Singh Sidhu along with Kiku Sharda, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Sumona Chakraborty and Chandan Prabhakar, has opened to TRP ratings of 3.4 and has raked in 3.2 over the weekend with a total 8123 impressions, according to the TRP reports of the first week of January released by BARC.
