'Suicide Squad' Cast Revealed: Director David Ayer Tweets First Look

After weeks of wait, "Suicide Squad " fans were rewarded with the first look of the movie's entire cast in their costumes when director David Ayer tweeted a photo on Sunday.

"Task Force X assembled and ready. #SuicideSquad," read the caption for the photo. 

Fans were excited to see model Cara Delevigne and Margott Robbie join the cast of villains.

The group photo showed the crew assembled in front of a sign that read "Welcome to Belle Reve", referring to the prison and sanatorium used to imprison these supervillains in the DC books.

The cast also includes Adam Beach, Jai Courtney, Karen Fukuhara, Joel Kinnaman, Will Smith, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Viola Davis and Jay Hernandez. Most of the shooting for the film has been done in Toronto.

The picture reveals Delevigne as June Moore, who become a raven-haired sorceress after chanting 'The Enchatress', and shows Robbie posing with a wicked laugh as Harleen Quinzel, a psychiatrist who falls in love with the Joker and becomes his accomplice.

The 47-year-old director and writer had earlier revealed the look of Jared Leto as the notoriously famous Joker. But Leto did not feature in the group picture, as his band "30 Seconds To Mars" is away touring in Poland.

Later on Sunday Ayer also tweeted the picture of Smith posing as his character 'Deadshot' in full costume.

Fans are also hoping to catch a glimpse of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Ben Affleck as Batman from the upcoming caped crusader flick "Batman v Superman; Dawn of Justice".

Earlier this week, Affleck was spotted on the sets of "Suicide Squad", giving rise to rumours about the cameos from both the stars.

The film narrates the story about imprisoned villains who are recruited by a government agency to perform covert operations. It brings together Will Smith and Margot Robbie for the second time; thd two had  starred together in the romantic comedy "Focus" released earlier this year.
