Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi has hit with another major leak and it hints at a team-up between Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren.

The journey of Mark Hamill's character to the dark side in the upcoming science fiction film is not a new update for the franchise fans, as they have been speculating about it from a long time. Even the first teaser trailer of the movie teases about the new plot twist.

In the official footage, the Jedi Master informs Rey, "I only know one truth – it's time for the Jedi to end." Although his words indicate that he is preparing for a different journey, it is not clear if he is planning to follow his father Anakin Skywalker's footsteps.

But the new leaked details on Star Wars indicate that Luke Skywalker could team up with Kylo Ren in Episode VIII - The Last Jedi. It revolves around an ornament which is part of the costume for Mark Hamill's character.

The necklace and the red crystal attached to it is rumoured to be the red kyber crystal from Darth Vader's lightsaber. According to a fansite called Making Star Wars, the gem could make Adam Driver's character even more powerful.

"If Luke Skywalker has the last Darth Vader Kyber crystal, someone like Kylo Ren would really want it. I don't know why Luke Skywalker doesn't just destroy it. But he would clearly see that someone as into symbolism as Kylo Ren would be even more of a monster if he possessed it," the website said.

However, some of the franchise fans believe that the red crystal has nothing to do with Darth Vader Kyber crystal. "It is indeed possible Luke has a red kyber crystal; it is also possible it once belonged to someone powerful, but it did not come from Darth Vader's lightsaber," claimed another fansite called Star Wars News Net.

The online portal also stated that the Sith Lord's lightsaber was detroyed when the Rebel Alliance blew up the second Death Star, making it impossible for anyone to have the crystal or even a piece of the saber.

So the Star Wars fans cannot really expect to see a team up between Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren in Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.
