SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali" has collected ₹100 crore at the box office in just two days, and will continue its strong run, thanks to positive word-of-mouth. However, will this affect Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", which is scheduled for release on 17 July?

An executive of a multiplex chain opined how the Kabir Khan directorial might not enjoy the number of screens the makers were expecting to occupy as the Prabhas starrer has been minting phenomenal money, both in India and worldwide.

"I am not saying that a Salman-starrer needs to feel threatened by any film, no matter how big a hit. But the fact is Baahubali is showing signs of becoming a much bigger hit than expected. It's bound to affect Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It is likely that Bajrangi may not get the number of screens and theatres that it was expected to. Several theatres would rather continue with Baahubali. A certified blockbuster is any day a safer bet than a potential blockbuster," Deccan Chronicle quoted the executive as saying.

In other news, "Baahubali - the Beginning" has grossed ₹135 crore in just two days at the worldwide box-office in two days. This is massive as the magnum opus has now crushed records held by Bollywood's best. Made on a lavish budget of ₹250 crore, the film has successfully overtaken benchmarks formed by Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan among others.
