Sridevi birth anniversary: Boney Kapoor gets emotional as Bollywood Art Project creates mural on actress

Late Indian actress Sridevi was born on August 13, 1963, and today is her birth anniversary. The Sivakasi-born Sridevi died of accidental drowning on February 24, 2018, in Dubai.

Bollywood and south India, where Sridevi ruled for many years as an actress and dancer, is still recovering from the shock of her sudden death. So one can only imagine what it must be for her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.

Boney Kapoor especially got emotional on the eve of Sridevi's birthday, not just because it's her birthday on August 13 but also because a special mural on Sridevi is going to be completed tomorrow in Mumbai.

The Bollywood Art Project, also known as BAP, has created the mural on Sridevi. It will be unveiled on Bandra's Chapel Road on Sridevi's birthday. The project has made murals of legends like Dadasaheb Phalke, Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu, Madhubala, and many more personalities from Bollywood and even posters like that of Anarkali the film.

"There are heroes and then there are legends, heroes get remembered but legends never die' Sri lives with us every day.. not a minute goes by when we don't miss her.. thank u for this honour.. Boney, Jahnvi & Khushi," Boney Kapoor sent a message to Pinkvilla before Sridevi's birthday about her mural.

In June, on their anniversary, Boney Kapoor had posted a special message with a video through Sridevi's Twitter handle, "Today would have been our 22nd wedding anniversary. Jaan... My wife, my soulmate, the epitome of love, grace , warmth and laughter lives within me forever..."
